F.A.Q.s
Q: What do singing lessons typically involve?
A: At our studio, we believe that everyone can learn to sing, Our experienced vocal coaches work closely with each student, tailoring the lessons to meet their specific needs and goals.

Students begin each lesson with warm-up exercises to prepare their voices and bodies for singing. Our coaches then lead them through a series of vocal exercises and techniques, working on breath control, pitch accuracy, tone quality, and range expansion. We also place a strong emphasis on performance skills, assisting students in developing confidence, stage presence, and microphone technique. At the end of each lesson, we will provide students with exercises or songs to practice at home until their next lesson.

Q: How often should I take singing lessons?
A: The frequency of your singing lessons will depend on your goals, budget, and schedule. Ideally, it's best to take lessons once a week to maintain steady progress and keep your vocal technique in shape. However, we suggest that you take the first cycle continuously; if you're on a tight budget or have a busy schedule, you may be able to take lessons less frequently later on and still make progress with consistent practice on your own.

Q. What style of singing do you teach? And what is your teaching style?
A: We prioritize evidence-based methods and strive to provide all of our students with well-rounded and effective instruction. To ensure that our teaching is relevant and up-to-date, we stay current with the latest research and advances in the field. We also practice a gender-affirming approach in all our classes.

Our teachers are adaptable and versatile, allowing us to teach a variety of styles such as classical, pop, rock, country, jazz, and musical theater. We want to cultivate a healthy and long-lasting voice that has good breath support, resonance, intonation, and expression. Technique work and performance training are combined.

Q: Do you offer free trial lessons?
A: We don't offer free trial lessons, but we do offer free assessments. During the assessment, you'll meet with one of our expert teachers, discuss your singing goals, and receive an evaluation of your vocal range and technique. This will help you make an informed decision about whether our studio is the right fit for you.

Q: What is the difference between regular singing classes and coaching classes
A:Regular singing classes are designed to teach fundamental techniques, warm-ups, and repertoire to beginning and intermediate singers. We offer these classes in quarterly packages of 12 lessons. Coaching classes are one-on-one sessions designed for advanced singers that focus on specific aspects of their singing. They are more adaptable and can be scheduled as one-time events. Ultimately, the choice between the two is determined by the individual's goals and needs.

Q: How do I enroll in your voice studio?
A: You can sign up for our assessments or waitlist to get started. After your assessment, a list of available schedules and teachers will be offered to you. If you're ready to start lessons, just send us a text or email to schedule your one-on-one lesson or join a group class. Our studio is open Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 7 PM and on Saturday from 8 AM to 6 PM. While we can't guarantee specific schedule requests, we promise to do our best to accommodate your needs.

Q: What ages do you teach, and when should kids start formal training?
A: We teach students of all ages. Our assessments are there to determine their readiness and unique needs. The only requirement for kids ages 4–7 is that they are able to read, as we use some written materials.

Q: Can you train my child even though they already have a voice teacher?
A: It's important to establish consistency in your child's training to develop a strong foundation on which to build skills. If you feel that I can provide additional value in your child’s training, approach your child's primary teacher for proper endorsement before bringing me in as a voice coach. Communication is key to ensuring that all teachers are on the same page regarding your child's education.

Q: How long will it take me to improve my singing skills? Do I need to take weekly classes to achieve success, or will 12 lessons make me a pro?
A: Improving one's singing abilities necessitates consistent practice, patience, and dedication. You are unlikely to become a professional singer after only 12 lessons. Years of training, practice, and performance experience are required to sing like a pro. Consistent weekly classes are recommended for the first cycle to see significant improvement in the voice. However, the level of effort and success are ultimately determined by the individual. The journey of discovering your unique voice is a lifelong endeavor. It is critical to focus on having fun and celebrating small victories along the way.

Q: What is the cancellation policy for lessons, and what happens if I miss a lesson?
A: To ensure the best possible learning experience for all of our students, we have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy in place. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be charged for the entire lesson. We also ask that you reschedule at least 48 hours in advance to allow us to make necessary adjustments to the schedule.

If you miss three consecutive lessons without prior notice, you will automatically be placed on a waitlist, and we will not schedule any further lessons until a slot becomes available. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we always do our best to be flexible and accommodating, but we ask that you please keep us informed of any changes to your schedule as soon as possible.
